Intertextuality in the Diwan (From Al-Hamra) by the poet Ali Al-Bahloul Hassan

Abstract

examines the phenomenon of intertextuality in the poetry collection Min al-Hamra by the poet Ali Al-Bahloul, by identifying the presence of heritage references in his poetic texts, classifying them into religious, literary, and historical forms, and analyzing the ways in which they are employed and their semantic implications. The study aims to highlight the role of intertextuality in enriching the poetic experience, deepening meaning, and adding aesthetic and cultural dimensions to the text. The study demonstrates that the poet draws upon heritage as an active component in the construction of his poetry, invoking historical figures, events, and texts and reshaping them in accordance with his contemporary vision and experience. This contributes to establishing an artistic and semantic dialogue between the past and the present.
