Abstract
This research aims to explain the role of the International Court of Justice according to its specific competencies in resolving international disputes, especially its role in the war on the gaza strip, and standing against lsrael's crimes and its violation of the principles of international humanitarian law. An explanation of the most important obstacles facing the court when it issues its rulings regarding the gaza war. The study concluded that the court has a prominent role in the aggression against gaza by accepting the lawsuit filed by the state of south Africa, and highlighting the repeated violations of the principles of international humanitarian law in gaza by lsrael, despite the existence of a legal vacuum that provides the court with the executive tool for its rulings, and confronting the most prominent obstacles to their implementation. Therefore, the study Recommends the need for the united nations general assembly to call for an international conference, to add amendments to the statute of the court, which is to provide an executive tool that works to implement its rulings, the study also recommends the need to support the lawsuit filed by the state of south Africa in all international forums.
