The Argumentative Analysis of Poetry Poem: Don’t complain to people about the wound you caused To the poet Kareem Al Eraqi

Abstract

This research study investigates the argumentative analysis of the poem written by Kareem Al Eraqi (don’t complain), before entering in to the text and analyzing it we divided the study into an introduction in which there is an explaination of the importance of the research and its methodology, then the first section, which was devoted to defining the concept of the term argumentative techniques that the poet employed in presenting arguments. The reason for my choice to study the poem (don’t complain) with an argumentative analysis was because it presents a dialogical text represented in a speech about a life experience that focused on rejecting the complaint because of the humiliation and the degradation it contains, and offering advice and virtuous values in the form of a ruling, making good use of argumentative methods in surprising recipient with evidence, and composing between his arguments and expressions. The descriptive analysis method was the most appropriate for studying the argumentative discourse.
