Abstract

This topic is one of the significant topics in the life of our Islamic nation in its past, present and future. Its significance lies in the fact that it represents the relationship between the will of man and the will of the Almighty Allah. it also explains to man, his responsibilities towards Allah countless blessings. The most important of which is that Allah grants him the freedom of selection and will, and this does not contradict with the truth that says everything goes according to the will of Allah, although this freedom is not absolute, but rather it is a measure. In the first part, I discussed the definition of will linguistically and terminologically, and I used Ibn Manzur dictionary, as he largely discussed the meaning of the will in his dictionary, Lisan al-Arab. As for its terminological meaning, I explained the discrepancy in the definition of human will and attributed it to reasons. In the second part, I examined the types of will in the Holy Quran, including the divine will. I tried to cite several Quranic verses that call for supplying from this world for afterlife. Afterwards, I highlighted the human will in love of life, its adornments and enjoyments. I tried to delve into the topic more because of its close relationship with the bliss of the afterlife. In the second part, I shed light on the will of the afterlife and its bliss. I proved that the afterlife is the end of man's endeavor in this life. I discussed the characteristics of believers who believe in the unseen, and that man was created in this life so that Allah distinguishes the evil from the good, and that belief in the afterlife is one of the pillars of faith. In the third part, I discussed the areas of human will, starting with promotion of virtue and prevention of vice, which is one of the characteristics of a believer that he must possess in his life, and collaboration for doing goodness, righteousness, and benevolence. Quranic verses and Prophetic hadiths played a prominent role in achieving the goal of this topic.
