Abstract

This study aims to achieve a basic goal, which is to identify the educational aspects in the life of Muhammad bin Sahnoon, and to establish the cultural heritage of the Arab Islamic nation through his works for teachers and learners, which are issues in education and teaching, and the educational thought that guides and directs the educational process is a safety valve for building the human being in a way that qualifies him for a serious faith- based contribution to discovering science and knowledge and interacting, taking and giving, with the scientific, creative and innovative data of the age. The reviewer of Ibn Sahnoon’s life and biography finds it full of incidents that represent good upbringing and effective social behavior. In this research paper, which relies on one of the tools of the descriptive analytical approach, which is documentary analysis, I have tried to reveal some features of Ibn Sahnoon’s educational and teaching approach. After reviewing the state of education and teaching in his era and before his era, and the role of his family in his scientific formation, the study concluded with the most important results: There was a group of educational values and principles that he relied on - may God have mercy on him - represented in literature, patience, pride in knowledge, and perseverance in seeking knowledge. The field of educational thought is fertile, and the actual need for it is urgent to explore and crystallize the abundance of the masterpieces of Islamic scientific heritage, because generations are in dire need of it in our present era, and human knowledge flourishes with positive thinking.
