Abstract
The current study aimed to determine the level of psychological resilience among college student athletes, through the dimensions (commitment, control, challenge). The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach, which depends on describing the phenomenon and analyzing the data collected to reach conclusions based on numbers and statistics. The study community included student athletes at the Faculty of Physical Education and Motor Rehabilitation in the city of El-Gamil, who belong to sports clubs in some group and individual games. The sample was selected intentionally and their number was (53) students. The balance in numbers and the type of sport practiced was taken into account to ensure good representation of the sample. A scale of psychological resilience was used consisting of three dimensions. The results showed that the commitment dimension was the strongest and most influential factor on the sample members, and the control dimension did not have a significant effect, indicating the need for players to acquire selfmanagement skills and sports pressures. As for the challenge dimension, it had a weak effect, but it was clear in some players, indicating the existence of individual differences in accepting challenges. We conclude that psychological resilience among sample members is mainly affected by commitment, while the effect of control and challenge was weak.
