Abstract

The breaches of honour are actions or traits that diminish a person's honour, and honour means embodying good morals and upright behaviour that aligns with social and religious norms. In the science of hadith, breaches of honour are considered factors that may affect the acceptance or rejection of a narrator's narration, especially if these breaches indicate a weakness in their morals or faith. The impact of breaches of honour on the acceptance and rejection of hadith: Their effect on the integrity of the narrator: Integrity is one of the essential conditions for accepting a narrator's narration, meaning embodying piety and uprightness. If a narrator is known for breaches of honour, such as lying, debauchery, or neglecting acts of worship, this weakens their integrity, and thus their narration is rejected or weakened. The effect on the narrator's accuracy: Accuracy means the narrator's ability to memorise and convey hadith precisely. If breaches of honour affect the narrator's focus or interest in knowledge, such as excessive amusement or negligence, this may impact their accuracy, leading to a weakening of their narration.
