The Philosophy of Dialogue and Communication in Martin Buber
Main Article Content
Abstract
In our modern world, characterized by globalization and technology, Buber’s philosophy becomes increasingly important as individuals face challenges in building genuine human relationships, especially in environments dominated by digital and automated interactions. The "I-Thou" philosophy remains a guide for human interaction based on mutual respect and a deep awareness of human relationships. Martin Buber’s philosophy of dialogue revolves around communication that deepens our understanding of the self and the other, encouraging a shared existence that forms the foundation of authentic human relationships. It calls us to view the other not as a tool or means, but as a unique being with existential value, thereby enhancing the importance of dialogue in building a more humane and cooperative society.
