Abstract

The study examines the concept of power in contemporary international relations and its developments in accordance with the evolution of the field of international relations. It highlights the impact of this evolution on the forms and characteristics of power, leading to a shift in the nature and shape of power from hard power to soft power and smart power. Undoubtedly, scientific and technological advancements have played a significant role in changing the nature of this concept, giving rise to new forms of power that have become essential sources of a state's power in its external interactions.
