Abstract
This study was concerned with the subject of special health services in Libya during the period 2008 - 2019, to learn about the extent of the development it has reached and achieved and the body in which it is distributed among the regions of the country through the use of the concentration guide scales and the Lorenz curve. It also reviewed the most important indicators of its services to the population, whether with regard to material or human capabilities, or with regard to the density of its medical specialties, and the devices it contains for diagnosis and medical imaging in the regions of the country. The study concluded that there was an increase of 106.3% and a growth rate of 7.2% in the number of private health facilities during the comparison period, and its geographical distribution is low-concentrated for For the population, except for medical imaging centers and sanatoriums, while their distribution according to the area is concentrated, and the north-western region (from Misrata to the east to the country's borders in the west), has emerged as a service focal point in which private health facilities are concentrated, and recommended the need to adopt planning criteria for the establishment of private health facilities according to the size and density of the population, and granting licenses to practice private medical activity based on them to prevent their random expansion.
