Abstract
Physical education is considered a purposeful educational subject and an integral part of general education in all stages of basic education, as it relies on physical activities as social and cultural practices that contribute to achieving educational goals through overlapping, harmonious, harmonious and integrated programs that enable the student to develop his motor, cognitive and social skills. , This means that physical education is not limited only to developing physical performance capabilities, and therefore it was important that planning for physical education include providing sufficient capabilities to achieve a high level of functional fitness for the organic systems, and a high level of physical performance capabilities to prepare young people correctly and functionally to meet the needs of the future in the society , The researcher used the descriptive approach using the survey method to suit the nature of the problem. The study population included female physical education teachers in the basic education stage in the Taghsat region. The sample was chosen randomly from the physical education teachers, which numbered (47) in the aforementioned region The researcher built the study tool represented by the questionnaire, which contained (38) items distributed over (4) axes: (the content of the physical education curriculum, teaching methods and methods, capabilities, school administration) and was applied to the individuals of the study sample. The researcher used appropriate statistical methods to interpret the results. . The study came out with several conclusions, in light of which a number of recommendations were announced, including: - The necessity of building a physical education curriculum that meets the desires of students for the basic education stage. - Working to make physical education a pass-fail subject in the basic education stages. - Providing the necessary capabilities, tools and means to teach physical education - The need to conduct training courses for physical education teachers. - The school administration’s interest in physical education classes - Conducting other research on developing school sports at different stages of education.
