Abstract

Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his family, and all his companions. To proceed... The Arabic language is rich with words and expressions that have broad implications and multiple meanings. Therefore, scholars have classified words and expressions into three different types of verbs based on the three tenses: past, present, and imperative. They trace these verbs, in terms of structure and form, back to two roots: the trilateral root and the quadrilateral root. They have also established rules and standards for the structure of words, known as Al-Meezan Al-Sarfi (the morphological scale), through which one can distinguish good speech from poor.
