Derivatives in Surah Nuh – A Morphological and Semantic Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research examines the morphological derivatives in Surah Nuh (Noah) in terms of their structures and linguistic meanings. The study is divided into two sections: the first is theoretical, discussing the definitions, types, and formations of derivatives, focusing on active participles, intensive forms, adjectives of resemblance, and passive participles. The second section is applied, analyzing the semantic implications of these derivatives as they appear in the Surah. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, exploring morphological structures and their impact on expressive and semantic meanings in the Qur'anic text. The study concludes that morphological composition extends beyond lexical meaning to include implications derived from word structure and derivational form.
