Educational activities and translation during the reign of the Abbasid Calipha Al-mamun (198-218AH/813-833AD

Abstract

The study summarizes the knowledge of educational activities in the Abbasid state through studying the personality of Al-Mamun and the role he played in supporting and encouraging scholars. And the extent of the role he played in this field, as he was a political figure inclined towards science and encouraging scholars, and Al-Mamun, if he had not been one of the princes of the Abbasid state, would have been one of its most famous scholars.
