Abstract

The school is an educational institution whose function has changed, transforming it into an environmental development function that contributes to serving the community. The school possesses a set of means to achieve its goals, and naturally, this requires supporting the role of the social worker to fulfill their role in assisting the school in achieving its various objectives. However, the existence of a number of difficulties facing the social worker may prevent the school from achieving all of its objectives. This requires a careful study of these difficulties and an understanding of even some of them to identify the tools and means through which the role of the social worker can be supported in the school context. Through the descriptive approach used in this research, the results showed the lack of renewal and awareness of all new developments in activating the role of the school social worker; the lack of participation in seminars, conferences, and discussion groups to enhance their experience and develop their skills; the social worker assuming roles that are not relevant to them; and the provision of therapeutic, preventive, and constructive services within the educational institution to all those who need these services without classification or specification of category.
