Abstract




This study highlights the importance of debate as a means of exchanging ideas and fostering dialogue, emphasizing the necessity of establishing a coherent dialogical system. It demonstrates that debates in Islamic thought are not only for defending beliefs but also encompass the study of cultural heritage. The research indicates that the art of debate represents an intellectual and cultural creativity that contributes to the development of sciences. The pillars of debate consist of the debaters, the topic, and the evidence, with an emphasis on the need to uphold ethical values such as fairness. Moreover, understanding the art of debate is a contemporary necessity for enhancing dialogue between intellectual currents, contributing to social peace.
