The Role of the Teacher in Developing Students' Creative Thinking Skills
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research explores the role of the teacher in developing students' creative thinking skills. It relies on a descriptive-analytical approach through a review of literature and previous studies. It highlights the importance of creative thinking in enabling teachers to face the challenges of the digital and cognitive age and accept new ideas without prejudice, which motivates students to think freely and experiment with different ideas. The teacher relies on innovative teaching methods such as brainstorming, open discussions, practical projects, and educational games that stimulate critical and creative thinking. The teacher enhances students' confidence in themselves and their ideas through continuous encouragement and positive appreciation, which helps them express their ideas freely without hesitation. Teaching creative thinking has become a necessity imposed by the times to confront the challenges imposed by globalization. Developing creative thinking skills depends on several factors, the most important of which is the teacher, because the results that may be achieved from implementing any program depend to a large extent on the quality of education within the classroom.
