Abstract

The study is based on researching the basic problem of how Ibn Ashour uses morphological significance in his interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, and the extent of its impact on understanding Qur’anic texts and deducing precise meanings from them. The research questions are: How did Ibn Ashour use morphological significance in his interpretation? And to what extent does morphological analysis affect the interpretation of Qur’anic meanings? Is there a clear approach adopted by Ibn Ashour in dealing with morphological significance? The objectives of the research are to answer these questions in terms of analyzing Ibn Ashour’s approach to dealing with morphological significance. Highlighting the importance of morphology in interpreting the Holy Quran. Studying the effect of morphological analysis on understanding Qur’anic texts. The importance of the research lies in the fact that it sheds light on an important linguistic aspect in the interpretation of the Qur’an, which helps researchers in linguistics and interpretation to have a deeper understanding of the Qur’anic texts through morphological analysis . As for the preliminary results of the research, studies indicated that Ibn Ashour relied on morphological analysis accurately in his interpretation, as he used it to understand the different contexts of the Qur’anic texts, which helped him provide a more accurate and comprehensive interpretation.
