The mental health of the student teacher

Abstract
This research aims to define mental health and understand the role of the student teacher, as well as to explore the importance of mental health in their success. This understanding may facilitate effective planning and implementation of the educational process in teacher education colleges and educational institutions in general. The descriptive analytical method was employed, leading to several findings .Among these, mental health is represented as a state of balance and integration among the various psychological functions of an individual, and it is a vital element in the lives of individuals and communities. The student teacher is defined as a learner studying in teacher education colleges in preparation for a future teaching career, and they are considered a key component of the educational process. Mental health contributes to their proper adjustment within society and helps them manage their psychological lives free from ongoing stress and conflicts. Furthermore, mental health is a critical factor in the academic and professional success of the student teacher.
