The relation of Unemployment to Crime

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the impact of unemployment on the crime in society by identifying the impact on unemployment at the level of individuals and on the family level and on the community as a whole, as well as identifying the factors leading to unemployment and revealing the relationship between these factors and unemployment and its effects on society, by relying on the descriptive analytical approach in the theoretical part of this study and the experimental approach in its practical part, where the field study was discussed between unemployment and crime Depending on a questionnaire form prepared by the researcher and distributed to a sample of (40) inmates of the Islah and Rehabilitation Foundation (Al -Zawiya), and the results of the study showed one of the most important effects of unemployment on community members increasing their rates of perpetrators and deviant behaviors, and through the field study we reached a relationship between unemployment and crime as 30% of the prisoners are unemployed.
