Abstract
The research aims to discuss how to apply the jurisprudence of priorities during times of environmental corruption and the spread of epidemics (from an Islamic perspective). We first presented a definition of the jurisprudence of priorities, then the evidence from the Holy Qur’an and the purified Prophetic Sunnah. The study highlighted the necessity of applying the jurisprudence of priorities during periods of epidemic outbreaks in society. Examples were given on how to apply the jurisprudence of priorities in the community, including the legislation’s emphasis on cleanliness, dealing with restrictions imposed by authorities to prevent harm and stop the spread of disease, the impact of epidemics on fasting and pilgrimage, and also the warnings related to washing and shrouding the deceased. The study also addressed the change in the call to prayer (adhan) format during epidemics, as well as encouraging the giving of charity, as it is considered a means of repelling the wrath of God and easing afflictions from Muslims—especially the needy
