Abstract

The job performance index is an indicator that reflects the overall performance of an organisation. Therefore, many Libyan companies have adopted management strategies to improve the job performance of their employees. Among these strategies is management empowerment. This study aims to determine the impact of management empowerment on the job performance of employees at the Tripoli Medical Centre. The study used a quantitative descriptive research design, and data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to a simple random sample of 351 employees at the Tripoli Medical Centre. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics with SPSS software. Structural equation modelling was performed using Amos software. The results showed that there is a positive and statistically significant effect of management empowerment on employee job performance. The study recommended that the management of the Tripoli Medical Centre increase its efforts to promote empowerment concepts by giving employees broader powers, involving them in decision-making, and encouraging individual initiatives.
