The Reality of Educatinal services and their Geograghic Distribution in the Municipality of Qasr al-Akhyar
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research focused on examining the spatial distribution of educational services for the basic and secondary education levels in the Municipality of Qasr Khiyar, and the extent to which this distribution aligns with the population distribution. It relied on interviews with school principals and official data, employing both descriptive and analytical methodologies, as well as the SPSS program for data analysis. The results revealed a positive correlation between population size and the number of schools. However, they also highlighted significant infrastructure issues, including lack of maintenance, absence of playgrounds and sports facilities, shortage of classrooms, desks, and equipment, in addition to a shortage in scientific specializations and high student density. The study recommended the construction of new schools within population clusters and away from main roads, along with the development of future plans to accommodate the annual increase in student enrollment.
