Abstract
This research involves the study and critical edition of a portion of ʿAbd alQādir al-Fāsī’ s marginalia on Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. It aims to introduce the author by exploring his lineage, teachers, students, scholarly status, and writings, as well as the circumstances of his death. The study also seeks to critically edit the Book of Tawḥīd from his marginal notes on Ṣaḥīḥ alBukhārī. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical methodology. Among its key findings is the Muslims’ profound concern for the doctrine of monotheism and their diligence in purifying it from any traces of polytheism. It also highlights their great attention to Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī through transmission, commentary, and analysis. Furthermore, it shows that al-Fāsī explained the hadiths in the Book of Tawḥīd in accordance with the Ashʿarī school of Sunni theology, and that his commentary reveals Sufi influence, particularly in his interpretation of certain hadiths related to the Divine attributes
