Reluctance of Islamic Education Teachers to Using Visual Aids : An Educational Study from an Islamic Perspective
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper aims to study the phenomenon of the reluctance of Islamic education teachers to use visual aids in the educational process, despite the religious and educational importance of these aids in facilitating understanding, converging religious concepts, and raising the level of interaction within the classroom . The study found that the rate of use of visual aids is low, and that the most prominent reasons for this reluctance are: weak financial resources, lack of training, weak conviction of the importance of the aids, in addition to some people's belief that these aids are not compatible with the nature of the Islamic subject The study also showed that this reluctance contradicts the prophetic guidance in education, which was characterized by diversity in aids, clarification, giving examples, and sensory and moral interaction with learners The paper concluded the necessity of qualifying teachers and raising their awareness of the importance of educational methods from a Sharia perspective, providing the necessary support and equipment, and including explanatory skills within Islamic education teacher preparation.
