Abstract
This research is driven by a deep desire to commemorate a prominent figure in the Islamic world, the revered scholar Sheikh Mohammed Muftah Qariou. His invaluable works and poetic compositions have left a clear mark on Islamic literature, and among his lasting contributions is his creative versification of the Ashmawiya text on Maliki jurisprudence. The significance of this poetic work lies in its ability to consolidate scattered legal issues, simplify complex details, and make them more accessible for students to memorize and recall. Its importance extends beyond mere educational value, as it also plays a crucial role in strengthening identity and solidifying the roots of the Maliki school of thought in the region. This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of Sheikh Qariou's methodology in this work through a descriptive and analytical approach. It will define the versification, its style, and its sources, while also highlighting the legal additions the author made to the original text. The research will also examine the legal reasoning behind his rulings, using examples from the poem to illustrate the extent of his reliance on the well-known views of the Maliki school
