Abstract

This research aims to identify the role of social service in knowing the attitudes of children in residential institutions towards vocational rehabilitation, as residential institutions are considered one of the most important social institutions that provide their services to all segments of society, and the family is considered the social unit that bears the responsibility of raising children And training its children to have a sound social and psychological upbringing by giving them characteristics that make them good citizens and able to face life. However, deprivation of this care due to circumstances specific to the child pushes him to live in one of the social institutions provided by the state. Therefore, there is an urgent need to pay attention to this group and provide programs Suitable for her, and vocational rehabilitation is considered one of these programs that provide the child with skills and experience for a specific job, and social service plays a role in identifying children’s tendencies and the most appropriate social institutions that provide them with psychological and social support so that they are more integrated into society.
