Abstract

I had three critical pauses with the book Wednesday Talk, which were represented in three studies. The truth is that the book is rich with critical opinions that played a prominent role in the critical movement towards “ancient” pre-Islamic poetry. If we turn our backs on the issue of doubt in pre-Islamic poetry and turn our faces towards other issues, we find that Taha opened up a wide field for the critics who came after him to address a number of critical issues that had a noticeable impact on the critical movement. Critics after Taha did not view ancient poetry as sacred, and this view had positives and negatives in literature and criticism This research, which I titled "Taha Hussein and his critical vision in the Mu'allaqat of Tarafa bin al-Abd", a descriptive and analytical study, seeks to answer three important questions represented in the problem of the study, which are : -What are the sources of Taha Hussein's critical vision in the Wednesday Hadith, and how was it formed ? -What are the patterns of this vision?- What are its manifestations? The importance of the study stems from the fact that it sheds light on a vital topic that has not received the attention of researchers to study Taha Hussein's critical thought; in which he was influenced by French culture and literature, and the extent of the exaggeration of the doctrine of skepticism Cartesian and Western values and ideas that appeared in his critical views. The study relied on the descriptive analytical approach that describes phenomena and then subjects them to accurate scientific analysis to reach its goal. It also followed the inductive approach as a framework and course for this study in order to reach results that bring together divergent ideas in the reader's mind; and because the research is also an applied critical study, this approach helps researchers to clarify and clarify Taha's critical views that he presented in his book. The research came in an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references and sources
