Manifestations of Social Withdrawal Behavior in Children with Epilepsy as Perceived by their Mothers: a Field Study in Ali Omar Askar Hospital, Libya

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the level of manifestations of social withdrawal behavior in a sample of children with epilepsy at Ali Omar Askar Hospital in the epilepsy unit, as well as to know the differences in the level of social withdrawal according to the gender variable, and according to the duration of epilepsy. To achieve the objectives of the study, a sample of (44) children was selected, and it was chosen intentionally, and the researcher followed the descriptive method, and a questionnaire was used for withdrawal behavior by the researcher. The study concluded that the level of social withdrawal behavior in the study sample was medium, and there are no differences between the sexes in the level of social withdrawal behavior, and there are no differences in the study sample attributable to the variable of the duration of illness.
