Abstract
This research aims to analyze the impact of social media on shaping public opinion and government policies. Social media has become an integral part of daily life for millions worldwide, significantly influencing how information is exchanged and opinions are formed. The study explores how individuals, media outlets, and politicians use these platforms to reach audiences and how this affects government decision-making and the direction of public policies. The research employs a descriptive-analytical methodology, relying on data from previous studies, reports, surveys, and content analysis across social media platforms. The study highlights the pivotal role of social media in enhancing civic engagement and interaction with public issues, while also noting challenges such as the spread of misinformation and societal polarization. The research offers recommendations on how to leverage social media positively to support public discourse and .guide government policies toward serving societal interests.
