Abstract
The present study focuses on the issue of linking Gender Identity Disorder (GID) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through a field study aimed at clarifying the differences between sexual transformation resulting from personal desire and sexual disorders associated with ASD. The study also addressed the psychological conflicts individuals may experience and their impact on the formation of gender identity.
The research sample consisted of 30 specialists, including psychologists and social workers Their attitudes toward the study topic were measured using a questionnaire divided into two parts, each consisting of six items. After data collection, means were calculated and statistical analyses were conducted to explore the relationship between their identity disorder and autism spectrum.
