The theoretical foundations of strategic analysis according to Michel Crozier

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the theoretical foundations of strategic analysis according to Michel Crozier through the following axes: identifying the theories from which Michel Crozier drew to establish his studies, as well as identifying how Crozier was able to use macrosociological theories to develop a microsociological theory, and also identifying the pillars that Crozier gathered from microsociological theories to use in developing studies based on strategic analysis. The descriptive approach was followed for its suitability for the purposes of the study. The study reached the following results:

This analysis drew on a variety of theories and used these concepts as a means of developing the organization.

It demonstrated that organizational management differs from traditional models such as Taylorism and Weberism, which focused on the worker as a machine or rational entity. For Michel Crozier, the organization is a social entity where a group of actors interact using diverse strategies to achieve power, goals, and interests that are different or unique.
