Abstract
One of the most significant Islamic disciplines devoted to maintaining and disseminating the Prophetic Sunnah is the science of prophetic hadith. It has branches in a number of fields, such as the science of Invalidation and Rectification, which determines the narrator's credibility and other aspects, as well as the accepted hadith from the rejected. The topic of leniency in Imam al-Ajili`s book "Al-Thiqat," which directly affects the veracity of narrators and the legitimacy of hadith transmission, is one of the numerous issues that pique or curiosity. Therefore, this study is entitled "The Claim of Leniency Imam al-Ajili's Book Al-Thiqat," and it sheds light in particular on al-Imam Ajili. It begins by introducing him through his name, lineage, birth, and death. After that, it examines his academic status based on what the scholars have said about him. Besides, his students and sheikhs. Following that, it examines his work "Al-Thiqat," where it talks about his name and methodology while concentrating on the study's main topic, "leniency" in documenting unknowns. It then moved to study his academic standing based on the opinions of scholars other than his students and sheikhs. After that, it looks at his work "Al-Thiqat," discussion his name and methods while focusing on the primary focus of the study, "leniency" in documenting unknowns.
