Morphological derivation in Qur'anic texts: A comparative study between the Qur'an and Hadith
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to study the phenomenon of morphological derivation in Quranic texts, focusing on analyzing the various derivational patterns and their linguistic and semantic connotations. It also includes a comparative study of the use of derivation in the Holy Quran and its use in the Prophetic Hadith, with the aim of revealing the semantic and stylistic differences between the two texts.
The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach and employs tools of morphological and semantic analysis. Preliminary results show that the Holy Quran is distinguished by unique derivational characteristics that serve its linguistic miraculous nature, while the Prophetic Hadith tends to use more common derivational patterns to serve the purposes of legislation and direct discourse.
