The impact of social media on students' attitudes towards education
Main Article Content
Abstract
Social media has become an essential element in students’ daily lives, shaping the way they perceive and interact with the learning process. This paper explores the influence of social media on students’ attitudes toward education, with a focus on motivation, engagement with academic content, and levels of concentration and discipline. The study adopts a descriptive–analytical approach, combining a field survey with a review of recent literature. Findings reveal that social media plays a dual role: while it facilitates access to knowledge, encourages collaboration, and provides diverse learning opportunities, its unregulated use can lead to distraction and reduced academic commitment. The paper concludes with recommendations to integrate social media into educational strategies in a structured manner that maximizes its benefits and minimizes its drawbacks.
