Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the most important obstacles and reasons that directly lead to the reluctance of students at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zawiya, to enroll in the Department of Finance and Banking. This was done by analyzing the opinions of a sample of students through a questionnaire. The importance of the study was embodied in the fact that it is one of the studies that address a real problem that derives its importance from the academic importance of this scientific specialization, which is in increasing demand in the labor market at the present time. The results of the study confirmed that the reluctance of students to specialize in finance and banking is mainly due to the overlap of personal, academic and work field reasons, with a decline in the role of social reasons, which reflects that the decision to choose the specialization is influenced to a greater extent by personal and academic factors and future professional perceptions.
