Workplace Violence and Its Implications for the Institutional Work Environment: An Analytical Study from the Perspective of the Social Work Profession
Main Article Content
Abstract
Workplace violence is a negative social phenomenon affecting work environment stability, productivity, and interpersonal relations. Workplace violence manifests in various forms such as bullying, verbal abuse, and misuse of authority, impacting the psychological and social climate of institutions. Studies indicate that weak organizational justice, role ambiguity, and poor communication increase the likelihood of workplace violence, reduce institutional commitment, and affect performance (Azzam & Abdeljalil, 2024; Al-Shater & Al-Salem, 2024) . Social work programs aim to mitigate the effects of workplace violence through psychological support, communication skills development, and fostering a positive work environment, thereby enhancing organizational performance .
