The integration of Islamic doctrine and jurisprudence in shaping the Muslim personality: A fundamental study
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research examines the integration between Islamic creed (ʿAqīdah) and Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) in shaping the Muslim personality, based on the comprehensive nature of Islam, which combines belief and practice without separation. Creed represents the spiritual and intellectual foundation that guides behavior, while jurisprudence serves as the practical framework that translates belief into disciplined daily conduct
The study aims to clarify the relationship between creed and jurisprudence and to highlight the role of this integration in achieving intellectual, moral, and behavioral balance in the Muslim individual. It also seeks to identify the negative consequences resulting from separating belief from practice in contemporary contexts. The research adopts an inductive and analytical approach through the study of Islamic legal texts and classical scholarly works in order to establish the foundational principles of this integration
The study concludes that integrating creed and jurisprudence is essential for building a balanced Muslim personality capable of addressing modern intellectual and behavioral challenges and for realizing the objectives of Islamic law at both individual and societal levels.
