Abstract

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the noblest of the prophets and messengers, our master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, all together . This Islamic law was revealed in clear Arabic language, and this language distinguishes between words, which later leads to differences in meaning. When a meaning differs, it is necessary to refer first to the literal (linguistic) meaning, then to the technical (legal) meaning . The legal technical meaning refers to what Islamic legislation intended and aimed at, not what reason alone intended. Limits were set for every meaning to which it belongs. Therefore, one must avoid confusing concepts with one another, because this leads to differences in understanding the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah. Thus, it is necessary to know the meaning of obligation, its limits, the meaning of recommendation, and its limits, and so on. Then, some of these concepts can be linked together where possible . And thus, may Allah’s peace
