Abstract
This study examines the role of the school social worker in activating school activity groups in Libya, focusing on the nature of the role, types of groups, and their impact on students’ social skills and personal development. A descriptive-analytical approach with content analysis of books, references, and previous studies was used. Results show that the social worker plays a key role in organizing groups, guiding students, developing their skills, and enhancing participation, while effectiveness depends on available resources and professional training. The study concludes that planning, resources, and skill development enhance the social worker’s impact on educational and social development
