The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Developing the Professional Capacities and Skills of Social Workers in the Field of Education

Abstract
This study examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in enhancing the capacities and professional skills of social workers within the educational sector, in the context of the accelerating digital transformations of the contemporary world. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach, drawing on an extensive review of relevant scientific literature and prior empirical studies to analyze the current state of AI adoption in educational institutions and to identify the core professional competencies that can be strengthened among social workers through the integration of these technologies. The findings reveal that artificial intelligence significantly contributes to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of social workers’ professional performance, enhancing evidence-based decision-making, and advancing skills related to assessment, diagnosis, and
continuous follow-up. These improvements are shown to have a positive impact on the overall quality of social services delivered in educational settings. Accordingly, the study underscores the importance of systematically training social workers in the application of artificial intelligence tools and embedding these technologies within professional preparation and qualification programs, both during university and postgraduate education and throughout supervA ````````````ised field training.
