An analysis of Islamic legislation regarding the concept of terrorism, its connection to violence, and mechanisms for reducing it in Libyan society

Abstract
Terrorism is considered one of the important issues that has a great impact on destabilizing the Libyan state in particular and the world in general on the social, legal, political, economic and religious levels. Therefore, this study came to shed light on the reading of Islamic legislation on the concept of terrorism and its relationship to violence from the religious perspective, and to present the opinions and statements of past and present jurists, in order to reach its ruling in Islamic law and to develop preventive and therapeutic methods to reduce it in Libyan society, especially after the events of the February 17, 2011 revolution, when terrorism penetrated Libya and claimed the lives of a large number of young men and women, in order to create preventive social awareness within a religious framework to reduce the increase in cases of violence and terrorism within Libyan society, and this is what the study aimed for
