Educational Implications in the Interpretation of Al-Sa'di - An Objective Study: Selected Examples from Surah An-Nur

Abstract

This study explores the educational implications in Al-Sa'di's Tafsir, focusing on Surah An-Nur as a model for social and moral reform. Using an analytical approach, the research highlights how Al-Sa'di links Sharia rulings—such as seeking permission, lowering the gaze, and protecting one's reputation—to spiritual purification and character building. The findings emphasize that his interpretation serves as a practical guide for educators to instill values of chastity, privacy, and mutual respect, providing a comprehensive framework for developing a virtuous Islamic society.
