Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of social modernization on the reshaping of the modern social personality in the city of Sorman. It does so by examining the extent to which material modernization programs in the study community influence individuals’ values, ideas, and aspirations. The study also seeks to explore the nature of the relationship between certain independent variables—such as age, gender, and educational level—and the dependent variable represented by the reshaping of social personality, thereby contributing to a deeper understanding of the specific characteristics of similar transitional local communities.

The importance of this study stems from its focus on a contemporary social issue with interrelated dimensions, particularly in light of the interaction and overlap between traditional cultural values and modernization values, and the resulting transformations in individuals’ patterns of social behavior.

The study adopts an integrated approach combining both theoretical and empirical aspects, utilizing the descriptive-analytical method. On the theoretical level, a number of relevant literature sources and previous studies related to the topic were reviewed. On the empirical level, a questionnaire was employed as the primary tool for collecting field data, and the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the data and derive the study’s findings.
