Abstract
The Role of Manual Educational Games in Developing pre -Reading and pre-Writing Skills among Kindergarten Children
This study aimed to identify the role of manual educational games in developing pre-reading and pre-writing skills among kindergarten children from teachers’ perspectives, and to examine whether there are statistically significant differences in their evaluations attributable to years of experience. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical approach. The sample consisted of (50) kindergarten teachers from Al-Andalus Municipality, selected through simple random sampling. A questionnaire based on a three-point Likert scale (Always – Sometimes – Rarely) was developed to achieve the study objectives.
The findings revealed that manual educational games contribute to a high degree to the development of pre-reading and pre-writing skills among kindergarten children. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in teachers’ evaluations due to years of experience.
