Abstract

National reconciliation between brothers in faith and religion is a religious duty and divine commandment for Muslims, protecting their religion and homelands. It is one of the noblest and most honourable of causes, and one of the tasks of prophets, righteous people and reformers. The Qur'an and Sunnah have laid down a well-established approach to dealing with reconciliation among Muslims. National reconciliation is a vital and effective project for achieving social stability, and its success depends on the willingness of the disputing parties to accept it, engage in it, and make concessions and sacrifices for its success in accordance with Sharia rules and regulations. National reconciliation is indispensable for every citizen and compatriot in order to affirm national unity among the people of one nation and to spread affection, love and harmony among its various components. Scholars, students, dignitaries, elites and intellectuals must strive tirelessly and work continuously to achieve reconciliation between disputing parties, stop the bloodshed between brothers in faith, and give everyone their due rights.
