Abstract
This research aims to address the issue of debt, procrastination in paying it, and the resulting deterrent penalties. Because preserving people’s money is one of the matters stipulated in Islamic law, and it is one of the five necessities guaranteed by all laws. For this reason, the wise Sharia decided the provisions for these transactions And its controls in a way that ensures the preservation of money, which is one of the protected rights, including the prohibition of procrastination, as the debtor must pay off the fixed debt he owes, and given the seriousness of the debt matter, the jurists agreed that procrastination is unjust and forbidden, and the researcher has presented detailed rulings on this subject.
