Abstract

Zakat on shares is an important issue in the life of a Muslim, because zakat in general is the third pillar of Islam. Zakat used to be known for its amounts, but with the developments we are experiencing, complex contemporary issues have arisen for which there is no legal evidence, including zakat on shares. Therefore, it is necessary for us to study them and clarify their rulings, and to facilitate access to legal rulings on such issues


related to the economy in many countries of the Islamic world. Shares vary in nature depending on the share offered by the partner, and I have reached conclusions reached in this research include:


1. Allah has made zakat obligatory on all wealth, and this includes zakat on shares.


2. Shares vary according to several considerations, given the nature of the share offered by the partner, given their form, given their consumption, and given the rights of their holders.


3. The ruling on


subscribing to companies is permissible if the company engages in permissible activities and is impermissible if it engages in activities that are purely or predominantly impermissible.
