Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to investigate the effect of a training program implemented during the preparatory period on the level of certain specific physical abilities and complex skill performances of youth football players under the age of 16 at Al-Qardabiya Club in the city of Sebha. The research sample consisted of (22) youth players. The experimental method was employed using a single-group design with pre-, intermediate-, and post-measurements. The results indicated that the proposed training program had a positive effect across the research measurements, with significant improvements in physical and skill-related variables in favor of the post-test during the preparatory period. Moreover, statistically significant differences were found between the measurements for the studied variables in favor of the post-measurement. In addition, the impact of the proposed training program on the research variables was clearly demonstrated through effect size values, which varied across the study sample.
