Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of social changes in changing moral values, and for this purpose, the researcher used the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting data and information. The researcher adopted a random sample of (113) individuals, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, and the data was processed by the statistical software package for the social sciences (SPSS), using appropriate statistical methods such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation and Cronbach's alpha coefficient of stability.
The study included several questions to identify the attitudes of Libyan youth towards social changes and the level of change in social values, in addition to the role of social change in changing moral values.
The study found that social changes have a role in changing social values. The study also concluded that the trend of Libyan youth towards social changes in the Libyan Arab society was moderate, and the level of social values change was low.
The study reached a set of recommendations, including the need to participate in charitable organizations and societies in order to provide voluntary services to the community and preserve social values, and to welcome any activity that guarantees the opportunity to exercise leadership roles, and to believe in the plurality of ideas and respect for freedom of opinion and expression, and to provide constructive and purposeful criticism of ideas that do not fit in. With the community and keen to participate in collective actions to ensure an influential role in society.
